About Thomas

Mediation for people under emotional and financial pressure from conflict.

I help people understand difficult disputes, communicate more effectively and explore practical paths forward. I serve as a Court-Appointed Roster Mediator with Ontario’s Ministry of the Attorney General. I am also the author of the five-book YOU’RE FIRED! self-representation series covering Civil Court, Small Claims Court, Family Court, Human Rights Tribunals and Estate Litigation. My goal is to make complex processes easier to understand and help people participate with greater confidence. I work with individuals, families, landlords, tenants, employees, employers, businesses and organizations. My practice includes mediation for estate, family, employment, condominium, real-estate, landlord and tenant, human-rights and organizational disputes. I also conduct workplace investigations involving harassment, discrimination, bullying, misconduct and privacy concerns. When appropriate, I am available to act as an Estate Trustee During Litigation and can serve court documents throughout Toronto, the GTA and Hamilton. My approach is impartial, respectful and focused on workable solutions. Virtual services are available, along with in-person appointments in Toronto, the GTA and Niagara Region. Imagine discussing your situation with an experienced neutral who listens without judgment and explains the process clearly. One conversation can change the way you see the problem and your options. Free initial 30-minute online consultation.

Before you call

  1. 1Check what you would pay. Your rate depends on your own personal net income and your family household size. See the reduced-fee schedule.
  2. 2Give your membership number when you call. Professionals only take registered JusticeNet clients — the number is what gets you the reduced rate.
  3. 3Know your own personal net income and your family household size. Count yourself and the family members in your household.

Every case is voluntary: Thomas decides whether to take yours on, and you decide whether to hire him. JusticeNet takes no part in the case and no fee from it.
