About Heidi
Heidi Mottahedin is a Certified Specialist in Family Mediation through (FDRIO), an Accredited Family Mediator through (OAFM) , Certified Child Protection Mediator and a Certified Solution-Focused Therapist. Heidi received her mediation training from York University and Harvard Law School.
Heidi has successfully mediated over 1,000 cases for couples and families including those related to custody, access, property division as well as support and parenting plans. She has extensive experience with high conflict cases. Heidi is a member of the Child Protection Mediation Provincial Roster. Heidi has also mediated a wide range of civil and business cases.
In connection with her work, she received the University of Toronto’s JK. Leadership Award for Excellence in Solution Focused Counselling in 2011 and was awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Award in 2012 for making justice more accessible in Canada. She is also the recepiant of Canada 150 Award
