Hourly rates depend on professional type, the applicant’s personal net income after tax, and family household size, including the applicant. The income bands and hourly rates are unchanged; the family-size bands are 1–2, 3, and 4 or more.

An alternative for senior lawyers

If you have at least 10 years in private practice, you may choose a flat 40% discount from your regular hourly rate instead of the sliding-scale hourly rate.

Apply the discount to the hourly rate you actually charge outside JusticeNet. Confirm the reduced rate with the client before starting work.
