JusticeNet is a Canadian not-for-profit service that connects people with independent lawyers, paralegals and mediators offering reduced fees on Ontario legal matters.
Legal Aid, Ontario courthouses and community programs refer people who earn too much for legal aid — but can't afford standard rates — to JusticeNet's roster of participating professionals. In under-served regions, your listing is free.
What you'll need: We confirm your Law Society licence before your listing goes live. Have a profile photo ready if you have one. Set aside about ten minutes.

They search by practice area, location and language, and call you directly. There is no middleman and no commission.

Every enquiry is yours to accept or decline. You manage your own caseload, and can pause new referrals any time.

Reduced fees, your practice
You act for the client in your own practice at the reduced rate. Everything else about the retainer is between you and your client.

What clients pay
Reduced fees, stated clearly.
Clients are assessed using their own personal net income and their family household size. Family household composition is determined using the professional’s judgement. The available reduced-fee schedule depends on the listing's profession and affordability arrangement.
- Lawyer: $130-$200/hr across the current income bands.
Senior lawyers, with a minimum of 10 years in private practice, may instead offer JusticeNet referrals a flat discount of 40% on their standard hourly rate, which they normally bill in their private practice.
